FAQ

How soon will I get my photos?

My turn-around time is 2 weeks (depending on the time of year and the length of your shoot) but I make it a priority to send out a handful of sneak peeks within 1 week of the shoot! You will receive your final photos through a link which will allow you to download everything.

How can I pay you?

I accept cash, checks, and Venmo! The full payment is due the day of the shoot. If you are struggling to make the full payment at once, please reach out to me so we can work out a custom payment plan.

Can I bring a friend of family member?

YES!! Please feel free to bring a buddy. So many people bring parents or friends to their photoshoots and I can see how it helps my clients to be more comfortable in front of the camera (especially if you're nervous!) Plus they can double as personal coat rack, purse carrier, hype man, etc... so short answer, long, yes you can bring someone along with you to your shoot :)

Will you retouch my photos?

I am happy to edit out any blemishes because I know that acne is temporary and isn't always an accurate representation of my subjects. I want everyone to feel comfortable in their own skin so I will retouch this upon request! However, I will not alter permanent features such as weight, eye color, or anything else that is essential to being your authentic self. My goal in portraiture is to document my client's natural beauty so I will stay true to that vision through my editing as well.

Do you offer prints?

Right now I'm only offering digital photos but you are free to print all of your favorite photos on your own (I highly recommend Costco for this!)

How do I save my photos?

Because I only offer digital photos at this time so it's important that you know how to keep them all safe! When all your photos are edited, I will send you a link which you can access on your phone to download and post but I highly recommend visiting the link on a computer as well so you can download all the files and move them onto a hard drive or flash drive. This will ensure that they don't get lost over the years when you switch phones or accidentally lose them in the depths your camera roll!

What do I wear?

Generally, earthy or neutral colors tend to compliment skin tone best but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to ditch your favorite color! What's most important is that you find colors that look the best on you because that will look the most natural. Feel free to send me photos of your options, I love being involved in this process! Also be sure to wear something you're confident in, you will look your best when you feel best!

For Groups or Families, I recommend sticking to the same color palate but avoid wearing a uniform color. For example, instead of all wearing a blue shirt and black pants, wear different shades of blue, black, and white! You can play with layers, patterns, and complimentary colors to add more dimension.

For Seniors, variety between outfits is important so I suggest deciding on your favorite casual, dressy, cap and gown, or college shirt look. If you want more outfits than your plan offers, you may add one for an additional cost. Another thing to keep in mind is that you will most likely be changing in a public restroom or your car so save the easiest outfit to change into for last and your most difficult one for dressing at home, before the shoot. Finally, girls, if you plan on wearing heels I recommend packing a pair of shoes to walk in between photos! Even if you're a pro at walking in heels, we want to save as much time traveling around and most importantly - to keep those pretty shoes clean!
